Olive Selected to Join Mastercard’s Start Path Program

Olive chosen to be among 11 startups from across the globe to join Start Path, Mastercard’s award-winning startup engagement program.

WATERLOO, ONTARIO (PRWEB)

Olive has been selected to join Start Path, Mastercard’s award-winning startup engagement program. Olive was chosen to be among 11 startups from across the globe to participate in the program. Annually, Mastercard evaluates approximately 1,500 startups for participation in Start Path, and less than 2% of those applications are accepted into the highly competitive program. The six-month program provides startups with operational support, commercial engagement and the opportunity for strategic investment.

Olive is a card-linked platform for organizations driven to help their members take the first step towards realizing personal, financial and socially impactful goals.

By integrating Olive into their user experience, Olive customers engage members quickly to start making manageable, recurring contributions through rounding up of their spare change. With the ability to accelerate those contributions with meaningful cashback rewards and corporate matching opportunities.

Recent studies show 47% of North Americans feel they have emergency or rainy-day funds to cover expenses for three months, and 78% of American workers say they are living paycheck to paycheck.

"Olive is very excited for this opportunity to collaborate with Mastercard, a global leader in payment technology. Joining the program will give us access to expert mentorship and exposure to Mastercard’s global-reaching markets. In the wake of recent financial uncertainty, it is more important than ever to plan for your financial future, Olive will help millions of people to begin putting money aside to fund their personal saving, investing and charitable giving goals." said Vincent Alimi, Co-founder & President, Olive Group Ltd.

"In today's landscape where we're moving toward a post-pandemic world, there's no better time to take the plunge and build a business that will address some of the biggest challenges we're all facing," said Amy Neale, Senior Vice President, Start Path & Fintech at Mastercard. "Mastercard is proud to partner with Olive on their journey to grow and scale and provide support and mentorship through the Start Path program."

Olive is the first issuer-agnostic, card-linking platform for accelerating member contributions towards personal goals aligned to corporate objectives. Online wealth managers, retailers, payroll providers and global charities across North America use Olive’s platform to accelerate recurring deposits and donations through member roundups, cashback rewards and corporate matching. Led by industry pioneers in rounding and digital payments, by former executives of fintech leaders including Mobeewave, and supported by US patents in rounding technology, Olive aims to help every person be financially prepared for their future.
